New FL and Colosseum Nüz

By BPM_EXE [Saturday, October 18 2003]

A Quick Diversion: What's this formation?
Nick15? RyoShin?! BPM?!?! (Me!)
What a stange combination!
Who are we? A Pokémon news sensation!
Pokéaaahsan!
It's news time!

The Actual News:

Thanks again to PA! affiliate Pokémon Forever, we got some new stuff info on the upcoming Pokémon games.

First of all, on October 15th, Meowth346 posted full-body images of the playable characters in Fire Red/Leaf Green (with some cover-up techniques to prevent image theft. I don't blame him, honestly). And... what's this?! It's not Ash in FL! While dressed very similarly, it isn't him. Well, delete my soul and call me "Susan", I was wrong about the whole thing!
So, who are these folks? Long lost siblings of Ash? Or distant cousins of the Ketchum family? Or perhaps FL takes place long after RGBY and there's a new family living in Pallet Town? Or maybe... umm... a fourth thing?! Only time will tell!

Next on the agenda... The Colosseum information. Reported earlier today, Meowth346 said that Corocoro stated how the Gold/Silver Pokémon will be obtained in the Advance/Cube generation of Pokémon games. Huzzah!

Psst! Nick! You think his friend was talking about us about the tag thing?

Please don't call me "Susan". Or delete my soul.

PA! Closing...

By Nick15 [Thursday, October 16 2003]

A Quick Diversion: ...

The Actual News:

Yeah, PA! is closing.... until we move to our new server! :-P

Actually, we're gonna work be working on moving fakecard.com to the new server, which will take a while. On the upside, I'm gonna give PA! a long due upgrade (PA!8.5) by adding all sorts of new, old, and missing things to the site. Not to mention get the forums up.

So.... if fakecard.com somehow disappears all of a sudden, don't worry, it's just being moved. :) Adios until then! (^_^)

Side order of Colosseum Pokemon Please

By RyoShin [Wednesday, October 15 2003]

A Quick Diversion: I'm reorganizing my family's kitchen. We have a lot of crap. XP

The Actual News:

First off, I need to find out how this title is spelled. First, the article I linked to Monday had it spelled Coliseum. Today's article has it as Colosseum, and on checking back, they changed the spelling in the other article, too. Now, neither way is wrong, but now I'm confused. I believe it's Colosseum, though.

IGNPocket has posted a bit more on the link up capabilities between Colosseum and R/S/F/L. Apparently, to be able to trade Pokemon from Colosseum (which I think may include uncatchables in R/S) to R/S/F/L and vice versa, you have to do certain things. No mention of what, but probably you have to get to a certain point in the game or some such dealy.

That's about it.

Semi-new Fire/Grass detail!

By BPM_EXE [Wednesday, October 15 2003]

A Quick Diversion: Oh... holy... sweetness. An all-new Zelda GCN bonus disc. Seriously...
(Info and images came from Zelda Elements. Nice Legend of Zelda site if you ask me)

The Actual News:

Thanks to PA! Affiliate Pokémon Forever, we now have an image of the playable female trainer in F/L. Check it out:

Please do not remove the PokeFor.tk watermark

Many people assumed that you'd be able to pick a male or female character (like in Crystal, Ruby, and Sapphire), so now it's official. Huttah!
So... anyone got any guesses as to a default name for her?

Hm. "F/L" is two letter short of "FLCL"... huh huh huh...

Pokemon Coliseum pics!

A Quick Diversion: Finally got a job! Say hello to a local Computer Specialist at Best Buy. :D GO RETAIL!

The Actual News:

Alrighty. We have some more Pokemon COliseum bits for you this time around. It appears Toys 'R' Us loves them Japanese more than them loves us'n Americans. Well, maybe not. In any case, it appears the TRUs in Japan had some sort of Toys 'R Us Toy Festa (Festa = Fiesta?), in which Nintendo showed us a video of Coliseum with both battle and adventure footage, hurrah!

Here's the article: http://cube.ign.com/articles/454/454453p1.html

It also appears that if you pre-order Coliseum in Japan, you get a bonus disk that has a preview of Pokemon Channel as well as some special Pokemon for use in Colisseum. No word on if us'n Americans (or other countries, for that matter) will get this bonus.

On a side note, I will now go out of my way to make an official shortening for Pokemon Coliseum: PokeCol. Remember, Pokemon Stadium's shortening is PokeSta, so this is no different. :D
